Kent Island, Md.—The Maryland Lacrosse added another impressive tournament showing to their record at the Bay Bridge Brawl on Saturday, July 6, at Kent Island, Md.
The Kent Island tournament brought intense competition, however it was no match for Maryland Lacrosse Showcase Club 2014 premier team. The team, coached by Jeremy Mattoon, swept the tournament, returning as tournament champions with a 4-0 record. This is the third championship to be captured by a Maryland Lacrosse Showcase Club Team this summer.
“This is a very talented team and they are extremely coachable,” noted Barber, “I am very happy for everyone involved and proud of their efforts. This was a really big day for our program.”
All Team Maryland Lacrosse Teams performed well and posted tremendous improvement from last week’s tournament. The program will compete in their final tournament on July 13 and 14 at the Summer Sizzle in Bel Air, Md.
